Pay attention to maintenance when using Ni-MH batteries.

(1) Avoid overcharging during use. Within the cycle life, avoid overcharging during use, because overcharging will easily cause the positive and negative electrodes to swell, causing active material to fall off, diaphragm damage, conductive network damage, and battery ohmic polarization to increase.

(2) Prevent the electrolyte from deteriorating. During the cycle life of nickel-metal hydride batteries, the hydrogen evolution of the batteries should be suppressed.

(3) Storage of Ni-MH batteries. The storage of Ni-MH batteries should be fully charged. If the battery is stored for a long time without storing electric energy in the battery, the function of the hydrogen storage alloy at the negative electrode of the battery will be weakened, and the battery life will be shortened.
